How can a teen make a lot of money?
Is being young an advantage or disadvantage?
It's an advantage. Not that being old is a disadvantage. Being old is an advantage as well. You are who you are, and that's what makes you capable of great things. How can you use what you have to achieve fantastic success?
Youth does have an advantage. It's the advantage that older people constantly strive to hold on to. It is the very juice that fuels success. What is it?
Passion. Hunger. Belief and dreams.
Nobody wants to give money to someone who is clearly burned out. Nobody wants to be connected to something dry and uninspiring. People absolutely love energy, love enthusiasm, love excitement. That last word is the most important, so I'm going to write it in big letters.
EXCITEMENT
Why is excitement so important?
Simply, it's the greatest motivator there is. Get people excited about something, they will act. Get them excited about a product, they will find the way to buy it. Watch some of those TV commercials for those great little products. Catch Vince selling the chopper. He makes you excited about this little device, and has a great line about having boring tuna gives you a boring life. They are not selling the product, they are telling the excitement at the product can bring to your life.
You are the product. You are looking to get a job, or to sell things, or to make your band a big excess. Its all-new for you, and you have natural excitement. That, alone, will take you a long way. There are more things to do to refine the message, but start with that. If you want to make money, make people excited by your passion.
What practical things can a teen do to make money?
First of all, don't find out what pays a lot. Don't judge a job on its salary. Put the emphasis on what you love doing, not on how much you need a job or money. I know that sounds the opposite of what would be logical, but it works that way. Don't start off looking for money, start off looking for excellence and passion. Only then will the money really come. It can happen quickly, if you are really exciting and excited.
So find what you are excited about. Find a job opportunity for business opportunity in that area. Daydream about how you will excel at it. Then go apply. When you apply for the job, they will see your excitement and get excited about you!
If you are thinking of your own business, what would it be? Maybe you love music, so you could open a music web site. You could make money as an affiliate promoting music downloads. Internet affiliate programs will pay you a commission each time it is downloaded. Remember, as a teen, you can connect to your generation with the stuff that gets them excited.
If you love the Internet, you may want to build a web site about anything you are expert about. There are resources for doing just that, that will help you to build sites that are in money. Whatever site you make, make it exciting. Make it about your passion, and you will succeed at it and love doing it.
Be who you are, not who you are not.
People have a radar sense for phonies. Whatever you do to earn money, whether it be waiting tables, babysitting, building web sites or mowing lawns, people want to like you personally, to know that you are a human being. I once had an insurance agent who gave the impression of being a salesman. Nothing wrong with being a salesman, but you never want to let your customers feel that you are one. You want them to feel that you are their friend, that you're there to help them.
That is something you cannot fake. You have to be real, you have to really be their friend and really want to help them. The more you think and feel that way, the more people will want to work with you. That is the greatest key to success.
So do these things and you will succeed in making a lot of money.
Remember, making a lot of money is not the goal. It is the result. It's the result of being authentic, being passionate, being excited. Commit yourself to these things in every endeavor you take, and you will find doors opening left and right. And you will make money.
